Im having a problem with ja-news. everything on the site displays fine except that ja-news does not scroll through the 4 articles/news i have published. can you take a look at it… http://stmarkla.org
Plus i have all the seetings right in the module position including auto relay….and you cant even use the back and forward buttons on the module.
thanks
UPDATE: I got it to work in firefox on my mac but i does not work in safari. any ideas?April 19, 2007 at 8:23 pm #218476I figured out the error…it seems that ja-news only works when i access the site this way -> http://www.stmarkla.org instead of http://stmarkla.org….could you please explain why that is and if there is a quick fix! thanks for great work

April 19, 2007 at 8:48 pm #218480If you searched the forum for ja-news issues, you would find it.
This is related to a setting in your config file. It makes a difference if it is set to stmarkla.org or http://www.stmarkla.org. This is not simply for the ja-news module, a lot of other modules also reacts to this.
Changing it to http://www.stmarkla.org is the thing to have in the config file.April 19, 2007 at 8:54 pm #218485in my config file…the setting is http://www.stmarkla.org….so i dont think thats the problem. 🙂

April 20, 2007 at 2:30 am #218518Hi Mike,
IE6 has a security policy about AJAX object. The script won’t run in different domains and yoursite.com is considered different from http://www.yoursite.com
Hence if you set your site http://www.stmarkla.org you have to go to the exact address to make things work.
Regards,
Ha Le-Viet. -
