Dear friends,
i have problems with my the JA News Featured (Teline IV, Joomla 2.5).
When i move a new featured article from position 1 to position 10 (first in carrousel) index page is showing broke. Modules change position and transform all appearance of the index page (JA News, footer modules change appearance).
I updated modules before made changes but continues the problem.
Any suggestion to fix this problem? I attached a image how looks before.

Please try to disable that featured article and see whether the issue persists or not. Sometimes the messed up HTML markup in article content (like missing closing tag, wrong tag, etc) also break the layout.

I dissabled the featured article and problem persist. Was strange because happens at same time in the 2 language versions of the webpage, both located in different hostings.
When i put some article to the featured first four positions (carroussel) this break the layout. Later, if a let only 9 featured articles, layout shows Ok. I tried to update module but problem persist.
Anyway, before the problem appeared I have not updated any components or changed any settings. Just happens taht the layout looks break. Now I can’t update the featured entries.

what do you mean by caroussel here? Do you mean that change the position of article in JA News Featured module?

I refer to the featured articles list: Content -> Featured articles.
When arrange the order (last new is show in last position: number 1) If you arrange to the top position (number 7 to 10) layout is messed. Caroussel i reffer to the four featured articles who switch automatically in front page.

If articles in frontend cause broken layout, it might be due to the messed up HTML markup of that article (wrong tag, missing closing tag, etc…). So please try to check article you changed order again.

Dear Saguaros,
i found, maybe, the solution to the problem :laugh:. I follow your advice and clean HTML tags in featured articles.
One of the featured articles have an image with the pop-up tag: {japopup type=”image” content=”images/image.png” width=”1059″ height=”1233″ title=”some text”}{/japopup}.
I remove this article from featured articles and change for another one. Now i can reorder articles, featured anothers, and layout is Ok when refreshing webpage.*
Maybe is a bug in featured articles can’t have a “{japopup type=”image”}…{/japopup}”.
