I’ve had the same issue in every update since 2.5.0, whenever I create an article and disable JA Thumbnail, JA News Featured ignores the intro text and features the first image used under the cut. That is not how the extension worked in previous version.

I’ve seen the issue brought up before on the boards, and yet with each subsequent upgrade the issue persists.

For some reason my thread was moved (I had to move it back to this forum)…

Anyways, I’ve attached my screen caps.

As you can see in screen cap 1, that is what shows up on my homepage.

In screen cap 2, you can see that the first image is skipped over in favor of the second image.

You can try to follow as my fixes:
Open templates/ja_teline_iv/html/mod_janews_featured/default/style.css file
add this script

.ja-zinfp-featured .show {
position: relative;
}

.ja-zinfp-featured .hide {
visibility: hidden;
}
Remember to clear cache from Admin site.

Let me know if it helps

I tried your solution. It didn’t work. I also tried it on the JA Nex template and it didn’t work.

I am sorry for the problem issue you faced with JA Thumbnail plugin. But i’m not sure what you are implying. Just for better clarification you can make to me the screenshot, configuration from back-end site and problem front-end. How can i duplicate error as you mentioned on your site. I shall help you out of it.

Here is the first problem. As you can see here the photo is not the main photo of the article but the banner

The link of the actual article is this:

The second problem is with the menu. As you can see here the photo is not the main photo of the article but again the banner. Moreover the same article is correct in the category but not correct in the 24H section. Check below the attachments.

Another problem is that the loadposition is not working for modules using banners that are stored in my server. This is very important for us to use it within the articles.

Note that i havent insert banners to other articles. Just the two above. I will insert only if we correct the issue.

I fixed the problem on your site because JA NewsFeature and JA NewsPro module check full image first, i have changed code to check between intro image and full image. Please check it on your site again.

Thanks a lot!! The first problem solved.

I have another problem. The {loadposition x} for banner module is not working. Is it compatible with your template? If i use other module it works ok. Only with banner module i have problem. Note that all banners are stored on my server

I have checked and feel sorry that we don’t support module to load image from plugin, on this case JA NewsFeature and JA NewsPro module don’tt load image from { loadposition x} format.
