If you set ordering by date modified it somehow make double the height of the module.
After resizing the browser window it seems to be normal again but refreshing the page cause the initial issue.
Setting the module order by date works well. ;)>:(
(Tested in chrome anf ff)

My non-working solution hunting:
– removed attachment
– removed item image
– removed image from description
– adding readmore before the image in desc.
– trashing item (thought it is corrupted)

By default, JA New Featured module supports to sort articles by: Ordering, Title Alphabetical, Most Popular, Latest Modified, Date, Random Ordering. There is no “date modified” option as you mentioned. Please check it again:

Yes of course, you are right: it is Latest Modified what is faulty.
Just skipped the issue by choosing Date.
I am happy with this “solution” now but the problem is still ON!

After investigating the issue I found that when I set it to Latest Modified a new item came up what has a longer (two row) title.
As I set the module to show more item then I saw – by scrolling manually or just not waited for the autoscroll to show up – so did not realized that this two row titled item pushed the whole module down and appeared all the one-row titled items with a big vertical empty space.

By the way… it would be useful to be able to set the autoscroll being stopped by mouseover!
