First of all, thanks to all of you that helped me upload the quickstart files and get my site up and running with the demo content provided by Joomlart.

After looking around within the menues, trying to understand the basics, I have now encountered my first minor problem.

When I publish a new story, it will also been shown as the latest headline with the Ja News Frontpage module, that is great. I just copied some text from a website, added a picture and published this.

However, on the frontpage of my testsite I can only see the picture and the Headline of the story, and not the first lines of text from the story I published; Compared to the demo content and the default “Poll of all Polls: Obama…” story

    Any suggestions?

    Tommy

    Hi Tommy.

I saw you posted there. You should PM Ana, she encountered siminlar thing here

    http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-news-and-ja-frontpage/

and it seems her site is OK; or try some of the suggestions in the aforementioned link. This is a very common problem, and there were quite a few possible causes. I assume you use Joomla 1.5x?

This problem may be triggered by how you set in the Admin Edit of the article the “Read more”, “page break”, as well as maximum characters allowed. Some suggested some html markups are used. Other than the link above, check these links:

This is not exactly no text, but the problems encountered are related:

I am not sure if anyone has provided a clear cut answer.
