    Hi everyone

When I mark more than article to display on the front page, i get the following result:

instead of the 2008 Upper Deck SP Authentic Football article moving over to the right part of the module, it just moves below the newer front page article.

    What’s going on?

should i have different settings for my main menu/home parameters?

    currently these are the settings:

    # Leading 1
    # Intro 4
    Columns 2
    # Links 1

    Try setting the parameters to:

    # Leading 1
    # Intro 4
    Columns 1
    # Links 4

Thats what mine is set to and its working fine.

    jay – unfortunately this didn’t work 🙁

anyone else? it looks like its treating the module like there is only one column.. and the second article isn’t moving over

You only want those two articles in the block?

no… i want a few more… those are just the two that i’ve put on the FP is all.

are you saying its displaying like that because i only had 2 articles assigned to the front page?

I would add a couple more and see how it lays out. If you’re attempting to get the same look as the demo you will need a main article photo of the same size as demo and photos for the other 3 articles. (assuming you trying for same layout as demo)

ok.. maybe that was the problem LOL ..

    THANK YOU!

but………i still have the issue of the left/right columns moving below both News modules…

do you think the JA NEWS FP is affecting this?

heres the webpage by the way

(notice the black area behind the JA NEWS module and the L/R columns)

Wow this looks totally trashed on Firefox what did you do to this poor template lol. Well on my screen you do not even have any left or right columns everything is under the main FP news block.

    EXACTLY!

    i didn’t do anything ! 🙁

i think the JA NEWS module is affecting it because when i was trying to pinpoint the problem, every time i made a change in the ja news module (i.e., adding articles to the front page or something), the L/R columns would appear in the correct place..

    any suggestions?

    FYI –

when i do the markup validator it shows i have 9 errors.. could that be causing the problems too?

Ya got me on this one. I guess I would just start back tracking or shutting modules off till I saw things line up again and then go from there. Something definatly has gone out of wack that’s for sure.

Those may very well be issues — I just ran that same test you did on my site with vaux and those errors do not pop up.

yeah it looks like thats what I am going to have to do.

in any case.. thank you very much for your help

No problem — Worst comes to worst do what I do — put on another pot of coffee blow out the site/db, reinstall the quickstart and start on over lol.
