May 1, 2008 at 2:07 pm #128120I am using Joomla 1.5.3 in combination with mod_janews 1.3.1 and mod_janews_fp 1.3.1. I want my frontpage articles to be displayed in Headline style so I copied all settings from the Userguide. The JA News Frontpage module is published and visible on the frontpage but the articles are missing, I only see a white square where the article should be. The Ja News module is working fine and showing all articles like it should do.
What can i do to fix this problem?

May 3, 2008 at 7:23 am #247604May 3, 2008 at 6:32 pm #247632Hi, I have exactly the same problem with mod_janews_fp when using “headline.fp” option: no articles are displayed!
Furthermore, If I use the “default_fp” frontpage, then I get a long list of articles instead of the “5” I have filled in, in the parameters section
see http://www.artarabe.net/j2
is there any solution to this?

May 7, 2008 at 12:25 pm #248079This update did the job, headlines are showing now. Nice work guys!
But another problem surfaced. Normally the sentences are cut to fit using dots at the end:
Example: Fusce fringilla ut ante interdum velit et leo elit ligula pede. Mus malesuada pellentesque…
I am refering to these last three dots, they dissapeared after installing this update.

May 12, 2008 at 5:04 pm #248814Ja News – my sentences are being cut in the middle, or (IF) I do not have at least the ‘max’ number of character in the article, then the article does not display at all.
May 15, 2008 at 6:15 am #249189Try stripping out any <p> tags in your article.

At this point, I have tried everything. The module is not usable. I am a little disappointed that joomlart would sell “professional” templates that are actually beta templates; as they are apparently not throughly tested. They are beautiful though.
