January 29, 2011 at 3:32 pm #374377Do you have a URL you can share?
First of all, since your site was presumably working before the server switch, I’m doubting it is actually a syntax error.So….let’s go to SITES > GLOBAL CONFIGURATION > SERVER
And change the “Error Reporting” to “Maximum” temporarily.
This should spit out more error codes making diagnosing much easier.1 user says Thank You to John Wesley Brett for this useful post

January 29, 2011 at 4:29 pm #374388Yes, there are articles published. What happened is that I moved servers and the site was fine thereafter. I use JoomlaLMS in the site so needed to increase the upload size which meant that in a cpanel server adding php.ini files into all the directories. Immediately after this the site was OK and the files were uploading but today the site wont load at all, and I am just seeing a blank page and the logs show that there is some confict that is preventing it loading.
This issue is well outside my area of expertise, so thanks for your assistance.

January 29, 2011 at 8:42 pm #374416Just a thought. Maybe you had T3assets dir there with old cache which would be obsolete on new server and might have given you trouble. That happened to some of my customers. So i would suggest clearing and manually deleting all old cache dirs to see if it fixes itself.

January 29, 2011 at 9:50 pm #374423Thanks for your suggestion, splico123.
One of the great things about the Joomlart community is how folk like you offer assistance to folk like me, when we are in trouble. The issue was resolved and hopefully it may help someone else in the future. In the process of setting up the php.ini files to resolve another issue I was having with upload file sizes, php.ini files were placed in various directories. One was placed in the modules/mod_janews_fp/helpers/adapter/ directory and this was the source of all the trouble. We went back to the global php.ini file on the server and made changes there which no longer require the php.ini files in directories.
Thanks to everyone who offered assistance on this issue which was much appreciated.
