Can it be done? I would like to switch the JA News Frontpage module to the mod_jaslideshow. Has anyone done this already and is it even possible?

I tried it today, I can get the module to load but I can’t get it into the correct position. It keeps loading in the top left of page instead of into the old fp slot.

Yeah JA Slideshow module needs to be installed and enabled in the JA News position if thats what your template calls it
