I having a problem with the JA News component on the JA Teline II template and am hoping that someone can help.
I will openly confess that I have a sneaking suspicion that I am doing something wrong. Nevertheless, I am baffled.Specifically, I am having a problem with the “Group Content Blog” portion of the front page.
It is grouping the articles by Section instead of Category.Under Extensions–>Module Manager–>JA News 1.3.1
I have set “Group by Categories or Section” to “Category”I also have “Show Category (Section) title” set to “Show”
What am I doing wrong?
Someone, please help.-Kevin

It is still a bug. It can be fixed as described here:

I made this change. Unfortunately, the behavior has not changed. To be sure, I checked under Extensions–>Module Manager–>JA News 1.3.1 to be sure that it was still set to “Group by Categories or Section” to “Category” It was.
Any other ideas?

Can you possibly reply? This template is unusable to me until I have this issue resolved. PLEASE RESPOND and help me resolve this.

You used JA news component
You must go to Components-> JA news manager to config, not Extensions–>Module Manager–>JA News 1.3.1August 13, 2008 at 11:52 am #265244I have tried that. Please forgive me if I am not looking in the right place.
I go to Components–>JA News Manager
From there, the Frontpage Layout shows that the (Circle One)Blog is configured to Group Content BlogIf I click on frontpage under the TItle column I am then taken to the Front Page Layout Screen
Among other things, this allows me to choose which Sections to display but, confusingly, does not allow me to choose which Categories. Nevertheless, I have chosen News which is the section which contains the categories that I would like to display.If I then click on Layout Template, and then group content blog
This does not allow me to specify group by category or section despite the fact that the template is named groupby_sec_or_catThus, the question becomes, exactly where do I specify that I want it to group by category?
You still have access to my system. Please freel free to look yourself. Thank you for your help.

If you are not going to help resolve this major problem please advise on how to receive a refund as the template is not usable to me. The lack of response is unaccepable.
