This one really has me going crazy.

I just migrated servers (using the XClone extension – it’s amazing) and everything came over to my new server fine (with the exception of a few bugs).

The first bug: JA News Headline module no longer scrolls through the articles.

If you check out: http://www.endurancenews.net/ you’ll see after 5 seconds it tries to initiate the headlineloader.php, but nothing happens, the blue circle goes round and round, but nothing is going on in the background.

I used Firebug and saw that it says in status: 404 Component not found

I’m not sure what component it’s referring to, obvisously JA News is installed and so is the headlineloader.php file (http://www.endurancenews.net/modules/mod_janews/ja_news/headlineloader.php) I even reinstalled JA News, and there’s no difference.

Yes, there are 2 active articles in there, I remade those as well, turned everything on and off and back on again.

It used to work on my old server.. what’s going on now? Is it anything to do with ajax, variables not being passed properly? Or something more simple than that?

Has anyone had this before? There has to be an easy fix.. I have spent 2 days and can’t figure it out.

Ha. Nevermind. I actually just figured it out. Wow, that was a heck of a problem. If anyone else has this issue, make sure everything is setup properly (articles, etc) and then in your configuration.php file where it says var $live_site = ‘http://www.endurancenews.net’; don’t put your site link in there, leave it blank: var $live_site = ”; and the headlineloader will work.
