I know JA News can display categories from a section but is it possible to display specific categories from various sections.

E.g. Section 1 – Cat 1
Section 2 – Cat 1
Section 3 – Cat 1

etc

any help you can give would be great. Is there any documentation on the jA News extension?

In “Group by Category or Section”, you choose “Category”, then put category IDs in field “Category (Section) ID”, separated by comma (,).

I have JA News 1.1.1. Do I need a newer version? Because I can’t see the spot where you can select group by category or section.

I have attached an image that shows the parameters I have. Thanks again for your help

You don’t need upgrade your JA News module. Ignore the “Group by Category or Section” and put Category IDs into category ID parameter. To get Category IDs, go to Content->Category Manager
