I’ve configured JA-News to show about 6 different categories.

But on the main page, I only see Latest and Newsflash.

What’s the secret to getting other categories to show up?

I think I found it…

I have my sections set to Registered users while the categories are set to Public. I wanted to do this so non-members could see what’s happenin on the site by viewing the activity in a category but when they tried to go to the article in that Section, they would be prompted to logon.

Seems like JA-News should still see the public category but I don’t think it can display the activity in the Section unless it’s public.

Does that mean I pretty much should leave everything open but just lock down each individual article?

Nope..

If you lock down just that article, it will disappear from the JA-News entirely. And if it’s the only article in a Section, you’ll lose the entire category off the main page.

The other day I was configuring my site and I had all the articles listed as Registered. The most recent articles appeared in JA-news and when you clicked “read more” you were prompted for a login. However, today I was changing my sections/categories and now all the articles have to be Public in order to pull into JA-news. How can I fix it to keep the articles registered, but still have the teasers appear on the home page in JA-news?
