I have the question.
I want to select the categories on module JaNews2 which be present on the front page. I want to select default categories. Please look http://www.ostrowiecka.pl the section Sport. It’s categories: piłka nożna, siatkówka, lekkoatletyka. I want change for all visitors of my site category lekkoatletyka. Should be piłka ręczna.
How do make it?
Please help.Regards,
PiotrOctober 21, 2009 at 6:09 pm #321186My visitors do not seem to be so ‘computer literate’ and are not understanding that in a section called say businesses I have maybe 6,9,12 categories and they do not see them on the front page. Can I manually show more by maybe editing code in a php file, I always make sure I add 3 catagories at a time to make it look good but would like to show 9 or 12 under each section.
Please help, pulling my hair out with this.
R
John

Right off, I see that you are missing the image link:
{japopup type=”youtube” content=”http://www.youtube.com/v/cdphzxz64BY?hl=en&fs=1″ width=”640″ height=”380″ title=”Political Roast : Obama Emanuel 2005″}<img src=”http://img.youtube.com/vi/cdphzxz64BY/2.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Political Roast : Obama Emanuel 2005″ />Political Roast : Obama Emanuel 2005{/japopup}
Another sample from my page http://www.intexch.com:
{japopup group=”a” type=”youtube” content=”http://www.youtube.com/v/56lfcOENnZQ&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0″ title=”President Pledges Help for Small Business”}<img src=”images/stories/SBA_Announcements.png” border=”0″ alt=”President Pledges Help for Small Business” />{/japopup}
For more details see the following link:

October 23, 2009 at 10:52 am #321340Thank you kalibs112, it is a work in progress with miles to go. Did you try to just cut and past the sample code from http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/ja-popup-plugin/ What is the link for the problem page?

For this case, you only need input section ID into Section IDs textarea. All categories in this section will display on the front page as default.</blockquote>
No … Only the two first categories are checked as default. The viewer still needs to “check all” … I really, REALLY need to be able to have all categories checked as default. How do I do that?
November 19, 2009 at 7:05 am #324188Please…!
– It must be possible, somehow, to have “Check all” set as default. I’ve tried to put in “true” in “usersetting_form.php” , which actually checked the “Check all”-option.
But it doesn’t really matter, because the categories aren’t checked anyway? What am I doing wrong?

November 29, 2009 at 10:38 am #325222Hello
I am having the same issue. I only get 3 categories in each section. I want to have nine categories. 3 rows, with 3 categories in each.
I see that the user – on the front end can edit this, so it does not seem possible that a user can have more options that the webmaster. there must be some way to fix this?
any Ideas would be greatly appreciatedkryptos Friendkryptos
