    Hi!

I have JA Quillaja set up on a Finnish dance arts site. The non-public test installation is here:

    http://uusi.zodiak.fi

My problem is that for some reason the JA News and JA News Frontpage modules prevent the display of search results entered into the search box. The box is in the Left module position, feel free to test. The site is still all in Finnish so please bear with me there. 🙂 However, any search string will illustrate the point.

From any other page, the search works fine. The JA News and JA News Frontpage modules are configured to display on the front page only.

    Site and version details:

    Joomla! 1.5.15
    JA Quillaja 1.4
JA News and JA News Frontpage 1.3.2

The template has not been modified except by removing the link to the User menu functions at the very top of the page.

Apologies if this is something blindingly obvious, but I couldn’t find anything about this issue in the forums. Any hints appreciated – many thanks in advance!

    Dear zip100!

In this case, you must to create a item which menu type is the “Search” component, ( as a Search Page ). Because if the site has not this menu, the result will be displayed in the home page, its as default.

You ‘ll re-configure menu asignment for the ja news module and ja new fp module

Thank you Sir! Problem solved, and another new thing learned as a Joomla! newbie. 🙂
