In an attempt to make it easier for others having similiar problems the title of this post pretty well explains the problem.
I upgraded to JA News as per another post to solve the non scrolling issue, but still there is no scrolling.
I read somewhere that it was leaving one item out, so I made three items. Still no scrolling, but all three are listed on the page.
Lastly, Nothing is acting as a link. <—- Note: It is on IE 6.0 where the link doesn’t work, link seems fine on 7

January 31, 2008 at 8:10 pm #237861So I am replying to my own post…
I went back to using JA Newsflash 1.0 and was able to get it to work adequately for my needs. However, the “Read More” issue still remains, but seems to be confined to Internet Explorer 6.0.
I have know idea how to fix that.
July 22, 2008 at 8:19 am #261415I am running J 1.0.15 stable, having used the quickstart version from Joomlart, but no linked titles in de JA News module (v 1.0.0); not in IE7, IE6, Firefox 2, Firefox 3 or Safari.
Linked Titles is ON everywhere…,
And it’s the same problem with ‘read more’…Should I uninstall the JA News and then reïnstall a single version from Joomlart or does anyone know something better?

December 18, 2008 at 5:39 pm #283404does anybody ever look into these bugs?
This is the worst forum for support
I am a paying member I actually have two accounts from two different companies
and I cant get anyone to answer questions about Ja-News.My version came packed with Ja-quillaja
and works fine but has some bugs right out of the box that I have never been able to fixHonetly I would have dumped this a while ago and used another news slider..but my client was insistant on using it.
for some reason theres trailing title content form the next item in the scroll, the only way to get around this is NOT to have anything but Image content in the scroller
the linked title for the categories doesnt work, I have tried everything and even reinstalled on a different server and its still the same ..you click a linked title, and it shows a blank page in the joomla frame.
however if you select linked title or linked category title in the entries advanced parameters, the link will show in the content item…but its useless there f some bodty want tot click the category title on the front page and see what other articles are in that a particular category.
I am using Ja-news 1.1.1 and it has never worked properly
now I want to upgrade but I am afraid of what I will lose as the verison in the downloads section is
a different version thats what it is labeled as.and people complain that it “breaks” their system
suggestions
