Hi, So do I need to spend another $70 to join extension club so I can have the Ja News mod and the Tabs like in the demo ?

No, you can downloa JA News from the Downloads>JoomlArt Template Club>Extensions for JA Templates

And the tabs is already built in, read the readme for more info on how to enable this.
