Hello!
My frontpage rolling news-box [JA_News] will not roll through the 1/”n” of news stories. For example, it shows 1/2, but refuses to move onto the next story.
I had it working before on a previous installation. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.

It must be something to do with the fact that you have the same story being used twice. In the ‘Headline’ the 2nd story is ‘Murdoch Reaches Out for Even More’. You then used ‘Murdoch Reaches Out for Even More’ again under the category ‘Test Category’. Both these linked stories are in the same module, the JA News Module, and so it created a conflict. Pick one or the other to display ‘Murdoch Reaches Out for Even More’ and remove it from the other and I think all will be okay.
Sorry, but from what I see, there is no choice.
If I publish two or more stories in frontpage so as to appear in the JA-News box, the category + story automatically appears below? And refuses to roll above.
Any help is urgently appreciated.

Somehow you have the same story published to two different categories and two different sections. Eliminate one so they do not conflict. In other words unpublish the Test Category category. The only Content stories to be published to the “Frontpage” are the ones that will appear in JA-News box as you call it. If that doesn’t work, what version of the JA News module are you using?
