I am using JA News Modules, and the news on the right column is showing up bold in the content text. Html shows a strong span around the text on the right hand column, but not on the left hand column. How can I fix this in the code? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t think this is an issue within the code of the page – it seems to be an issue of the text that’s been entered in the article.

Have you checked the article text in the article manager of joomla?

This is where your problem may be.

EDIT: In fact – ignore what i’ve said above, I’ve just looked at your site and paid attention to more of the detail. I’ll see what I can find and post back.

Looks fine in IE7 but your problem does show up in FireFox. It looks like you might be copying and pasting your content with all the tags from another program or web page. Could that be true?

that’s what i thought at first but then I thought why does it show bold all the way down i that column only.

It has to be something to do with the tags!!

If it’s the same module that is being used in the left hand column then it certainly cannot be a modue issue.

Under Retail this is your code:

<strong>Plaza Too is the go to boutique *of East Coast chic. Wth 10 stores carrying everything from Tory Burch to the sold out Gwen Stefani LAMB handbags, this family owned busi…</strong>

Remove the strong tags and change it to this:

<p>Plaza Too is the go to boutique of East Coast chic. Wth 10 stores carrying everything from Tory Burch to the sold out Gwen Stefani LAMB handbags, this family owned busi…</p>

Those strong tags came from copying and pasting just like you have different font tags in your code than what should be there. Just take a closer look at your code for each category article and correct. Then all should be fine. This is why I hand code all my content.
