I’ve set a few items to be frontpaged and have done all that I think I need to do but for some reason the buttons for the roll and the roll itself are not showing up. The only news I see is the first one, is there a problem with what I’m doing or is there a simple fix that I’m not seeing?

Joomla 1.0.15 and the version of Quillaja I downloaded about three days ago…

    Hi,

Yep, the articles are published, two of them at the moment from two different categories. The first story is showing up alright but then there’s no rolling to the next story or buttons to do it manually.

I had a look at the source code for the generated page and put it against the source code for the template demo and it looks like there is no javascript at all on my page, but I did upload it as a module, is there something I’m missing as my interface is slightly different from the examples shown in the quickstart guide (a more recent iteration I presume) so I’m doing everything that it looks like I should be doing…

Oh, cool… have two items now from the same category and only those categories on the frontpage and it’s scrolling! Cool…

The only thing is that now the title from the other items are showing up at the bottom of the current item, is that an error or have I done something wrong?

Joomla 1.0 is not secure, when there is no real reason not to throw it away then throw it away and use 1.5.7!!!

Have you got Search Engine Friendly URLs turned on. I just had the same problem and narrowed it down to that. Turn them of and – hey presto – I now have rolling news.
