A few issues with this module that I hope you can shed some light on..

I have had to set up the categories as:
Risk Focus
– Risk Focus
Market Focus
– Market focus

All my articles have had to be placed in the sub categories.
if I placed the article directly in the parent category, it would not display in the default layout.

The second issue I’m having is that when in the LINEAR layout, because the articles have had to be placed in the one sub category of each category, it is now showing:
RISK FOCUS <—— main heading
* ALL *RISK FOCUS <———– sub categories below

Is there a way to eliminate the sub categories from the main headline? See attachment to see what I am referring to..

Hi creativedesigns
In module setting, pls try select sub-categories.

Hi Creativedesigns
If all categories have parents, you only need create menu for parents category and this can help you, there is not any another way.

Hi, I have changed the “Medical Focus” to be in the parent item only, but if you take a look at the site, it still shows the “ALL” and “MEDICAL FOCUS”
see here: http://216.45.55.175/~creatdev/nmg-agency/index.php/financial-news

Any other ideas?

Hi,

I visited your site and could not see all labels. Did you disable it ?

Open file templates/ja_tenline_iv/html/mod_janewspro/linear/blog.php ( if has not pls change in modules/mod_janewspro/tmpl/linear/blog.php ) and remove
<li class=”active”>
<a href=”<?php echo $helper->cat_link[$secid]?>” onclick=”return false” rel=”<?php echo $secid?>” class=”subcat-title” title=”<?php echo trim(strip_tags($helper->cat_desc[$secid]));?>”>
<span><?php echo JText::_(‘All’)?></span>
</a>
<a href=”<?php echo $helper->cat_link[$secid]?>” class=”subcat-more”><span><?php echo JText::_(‘More’)?></span></a>
</li>
Hope that can help you

Yes I have managed to disable it now.. thank you! It’s much better.
I’m just a bit irritated that I HAVE to have the text (article) on the page too.. It’s showing below the module.. Is there any way that I can remove the need for an article on this page?
