I have a problem with the JA News Pro and JA News Featured modules, in that articles linked from these modules open in the front page, and not in their own page.

Following advice in other forum threads, I have created menu items and associated them with my article categories. This works fine while the menu items are published (and visible on my home page), but as soon as I unpublish the menu items in order to hide them, my links go back to the front page again. I do not want the menu items to be seen on my site.

I am running Joomla 2.5.7 with the JA_NEX template. I have K2 installed, but these modules are pointing to Joomla categories and not K2 ones.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello jancoulson,

You can assign your menu to a position which isn’t on your template, don’t un-publish it. Menu won’t be displayed on your site but it is in published status.

Thanks Stork11, that’s what I did in the end. A new menu in the Menu Item Root, published, but not related to my template so that it doesn’t show up.

    Hello jancoulson,

Can you PM me with your site information (your site URL, your site admin account) and your FTP account? So I can diagnose this problem.

BTW, please include this forum thread URL in your PM, so I can follow it.

    Regards.
