In the attachment you can see that when the cursor is over “Tuesday” it becomes a hyperlink. However, if you click on it it takes you back to the home page and the URL reads: “…../index.php/189-in-case-you-missed-it/tuesdays-news.”
1. Should this take me to a page where all of Tuesdays stories are displayed?
2. If not, how do I remove the hyperlink to keep from confusing viewers?
Thanks
Susan

You replace this code from /modules/mod_janewspro/tmpl/default/blog.php
<a href="<?php echo $helper->cat_link[$secid];?>" title="<?php echo trim(strip_tags($helper->cat_desc[$secid]));?>">
<span><?php echo $helper->cat_title[$secid];?></span>
</a>
with
<span><?php echo $helper->cat_title[$secid];?></span>
November 17, 2011 at 8:31 pm #425135That did not work but made all of my other hyperlinks to stories within the module now link to the homepage. Even when I change the code back to the original, all hyperlinks in this module link back to the homepage now.

November 18, 2011 at 2:50 am #425159It’s weird. Could you give me username+password of your backend and ftp? I will check it.
November 18, 2011 at 4:51 pm #425291I have sent all of this information in a PM. Thanks again.

November 19, 2011 at 11:21 am #425395I fixed it. You check it again.
I do same as I told you in previous post. And I delete all of files of /cache folder to clean cache.November 19, 2011 at 7:22 pm #425428Wow that works great. I am sure it was on my end anyway. Only one more thing, all of the articles that are listed under the subcategories do not link out to the articles but link back to the top of the homepage. What did I do to cause that?

November 20, 2011 at 4:20 am #425449Do you want to remove hyperlink of subcategories?
November 21, 2011 at 9:14 pm #425807The article headline links are what is causing the problem. They are not linking out to the articles. Also, I discovered today that even though the categories for this module are in the correct order in the module. They are not appearing that way on the page. Attaching pics.
HOLD ON…
I have installed a software that is causing many problems. I am going to reinstall a backup from before the installation. This may be causing the problem that I have attached also.
I may need you to fix the first problem (categories linking to nothing) again. But do not do anything until you hear from me again.
Sorry for the set back but since I have installed this software many other modules are not acting right as well.
Thanks again

Do you mean that I check why links don’t work? If so, do you give me username+password of your ftp? I will check it.
November 23, 2011 at 12:21 am #426002Sending you a PM of the information you requested. Three problems with this module.
1. The category name (Other News, Monday, etc.) is linked back to the top of the homepage. (You had disconnected the link but I had to restore a previous backup so that fix is no longer in place.)
2. The article names “3 protesting Alabama’s immigration law arrested at State House demonstration” does not link to the article but links to the top of the homepage.
3. See my last post. The categories are not moving as they are suppose to move. In the Category Manager the order is correct (see attached pic last post) on the page the order does not match (see attached pic last post).
Thanks Again, Susan

November 23, 2011 at 4:54 pm #426146Thank you for your note. I clear my Inbox. You can send me your information again.
November 23, 2011 at 6:53 pm #426176Send the PM info.
Also noticed this:
When I moved an article from Monday to Friday in the Article Manager, it did not move on the Homepage. I cleaned the JAT3 cache and refreshed the browser 3 times.
See attached pics.
Thank you for your patience. I have a presentation tomorrow.
Moved another article and it did not move too. (see second set of pics)

See previous post:
“2. The article names “3 protesting Alabama’s immigration law arrested at State House demonstration” does not link to the article but links to the top of the homepage.”
Here are some pics. When I mouse over the first article it highlights links for that article, and the three subcategories at the same time. Thought pics might help.
