Is it possible to set this up in the same way TelineIV is with the Default / Linear / Pulse type views on the Frontpage and more importantly the Settings option to add Categories etc…..I’ve tried the previous themes built in but none appear to have any styling and look a mess..The settings option appears if enabled however looks awful and has no category adding capability..

    Hi

Have you tried to uninstall the actual version installed on Ja_Nex and install the version included in the Teline_IV template ?

    Hi,

Yeah I tried that…I went one better and renamed NEX version of the Module and uploaded TelineIV version directly via FTP to ensure all paths were intact and extactly the same. Chose same options but no formatting…I can see that the profile ini file gets read correctly however the style.css is either not working or being overridden maybe…Only been playing with JA templates a few days so no expert…

    Hi Dave

Anyway you can have the same settings of Ja_Teline_IV on Ja_Nex editing some css files and php files related to the Module

I can suggest to use the Firebug Add On to check which files are involved so you can customize as you prefer

Actually the Ja_News_Pro module cannot use the settings showed in the Ja_Teline_IV template ( the three layout )

    Hi Pavit,

Thanks for your response but a bit confused. Your response says I both can achieve and can’t achieve this in the same post?

    1 – I do use Firebug already.

2 – Not too bothered if it can’t support the three layout (which I’m sure it can but without the layout selector on the side pane) but surely bundled themes with a module should work independently from the core CSS. It comes with its own CSS file packaged with the mod folder…Can you explain why this cannot work as makes no sense to me why it would have a multiple theme selector in the back end.

    Regards,

    No

I have said that actually you cannot have the same module as Teline_IV

but if you are able to modify some php and css files you can obtain that with the new version of the module

    Hi Pavit,

    Could you explain why ?

Your first response was “Have you tried to uninstall the actual version installed on Ja_Nex and install the version included in the Teline_IV template ?” …Are you saying “No” now as you were wrong in the first instance or am I missing something ?

If I need to modify some PHP files then which ones ?

    Thanks,

    Dave
