I’ve set up the Ja News Pro! module with the same settings in the Userguide for 3 columns

    2.1 JA News Pro! Module

    Code:
    Module Position: content-mass-top
    Module Suffix: no-bg absolute-title
    Page assignment: Home page
Backend Settings for this module as in Demo: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/userguide-ja-nex-template-for-joomla-2-5/

The columns are not lining up next to each other. They display one after the other. Please help

    Hello marlacamp,

As your screenshot, I suppose it’s correct. 1 module per row.

“3 columns setting” means if you select multi categories in the module, it will display 3 categories per row.

    Best regards.

    not really support that.
This can be replicated on the Quick start intstall – on your quickstart this module is used to display a neat “masonry” style laout of loads of categories, with their “TOP” story big and several linked stories under. It looks great and was the main reason for using the template. Go into the quick start module for this and change it to K2 and low and behold, only one column. This must be something to do with the way categories are “closed” in each component.

It a bit rubish for the “support hero” developer to say I suppose its correct. WHAT? no is broken. usless.

Once again we all have to trawl through sloppy code to “fix” this stuff. :((

    Ah Ha !
After trawling the HTML generated by each page, and comparing like for like i found out that K2 renders categories differently when they are grouped by a bigger category.

Solved – I think you might e having the same problem as me, to fix instead of selectiing your “master” category and telling the module to fetch sub categories, try selecting each category indevidually. That solved my problem !
