Hi joomlart,

I am complete newbie to joomlart templates and modules, however I am an experiecend developer.

I am having issues with JA News Pro.

I have created 3 categories which show fine front end.I also created three sub categories inside category one place a article in each sub cat.

I would expect to see via my front end in cat 1 the three different sub cats with 1 article in each, however none of the sub cats show?

Any suggestions?

Hi aurumholdings

If you go to the Ja_Teline_IV demo site, you can see the module Ja_News_Pro that has the default Layout, it shows 1 main Cat + 3 Sub categories with the articles in sub categories.
If you try to look at the JA-Newspro-ModuleGuide you can look on how to set the parameters for the Ja_News_Pro Module

Thanks for that just out of interest I have started developing a site using Ja_Teline III would it be better to use template Ja_Teline_IV as there arre some feature i like in Ja_Teline III that dont seem to be in Ja_Teline_IV particually being able to drag and drop the categories for the JA News Pro? or can you?

Does that mean if I use Ja_Teline_IV template i can set the JA News Pro to be the
Ja_Teline III style?

with various modifications to the css files to fit the new template you can

I mean actually if you choose the Teline III profile it does not appear properly, must be adapted to the new template

One quick question before I plough into a major development would it be best to use Ja_Teline_IV or Ja_Teline III

It depends what you want do, both templates are for Joomla 1.7 then both are reliable

then the world best is vague, it depends by your needs

I just install Ja_Teline_IV on a new dev site however on the demo site via joomlart the positions listed are not avalible in the tmeplate

example trying to publish JA News Pro to position middle.content.mass.top as suggested via demo this does not exist as a position?

Actually this link is not working to see template positions for joomla 1.6
