The problem:
JA News Pro fetches and displays the same article under different categories.

What’s the problem?

Hi zalely,

When you select option to fetch items from children categories, also try to enable option ‘Group by sub-category’, it will look fine.

That works
However in the previous version joomla 2.5 it was not needed and I preferred it that way with dividing categories into sub-categories.
Please see if it is still possible to it the old way

Did you try to take a BACKUP of your site and update JA News Pro module to the latest version (install JA Extension manager component to update)

I did that but that hasn’t changed a thing.
However the mixing of the categories happens only in the top JA News Pro and not in the second module just under the first one.

It’s weird as I tried to replicate the issue at my end but I can’t.

If possible, please create a demo site via our DEMO BUILDER tool and reproduce the issue so that I can check. It’s hard to check on your site as I’m not familiar with your native language.

It should be quite exhaustive rebuilding the site
However I gave english name to two articles
Problem 1 and
Problem 2
and you can see them side by side in the JA New Pro ext.
both of the are of the same sub-category Fuel Choices Summit 2014 and under the category ישראל alias israel

I also added 2 add categories plugins
1. Josetta – K2 categories (not in use)
2. K2 – Additional Categories for K2
Is it possible that one of those causes the problem?

You can try to disable these plugins (related to K2) and see how it goes.

Remember to clean all caches.
