JA News Pro in Teline IV for Joomla 1.6
JA News Pro won’t show any articles if multiple categories are selected in Joomla 1.6 but it works just fine if it reads from “All categories”.
This is a major problem when considering a multi-language implementation of J 1.6.
How can it be solved?
Thank you.teletrance Friendteletrance

Unfortunately it is on my local machine but I have also tested it using Teline IV quick start. JA News Pro in sl1-l position won’t show any articles if multiple categories are selected. It also causes the modules in sl1-r position to disappear.huypl Friendhuypl

March 11, 2011 at 4:31 pm #380940Hi sural98,
I’ve checked JA Teline IV for joomla 1.6 with quick start from the download page. If you go to module manager and choose JA News – Default Layout( JA News Pro Module) you can see that there’re 7 categories are selected here. These 7 categories then are shown in the front page. Please check it again.March 12, 2011 at 2:51 pm #381007@huypl 227136 wrote:
Hi sural98,

In fact JA News Featured in quick start is reading from All Categories and it won’t show nothing if multiple categories are selected.
Will you please check it with quick start again?huypl Friendhuypl

March 14, 2011 at 3:33 am #381165Dear sural98,
I have checked JA News Featured and got something to tell you now. By default, All Categories is selected. But you can select multiple categories. But remember do it in this way: When you want to select 2 categories, Sport and Travel for example, Please select Sport and Travel with their sub categories. Sport has some sub categories such as football, cricket,… It’s very important. If you just select the parent categories, then there’s nothing shown in the front page. 🙂 -
