October 1, 2007 at 7:29 pm #230319Hi guys, I had the same problem. You need to add again the default Blog – content sections menu item. For some reason it is needed by JA News. I think this should be reported as a bug.
October 9, 2007 at 12:51 pm #230851Hi, i guess you must enter the module and set only mainpage (on right side). so the module only appear on frontpage.
Cheers
Gabriel

1. Go to Site modules.
2. Tick the box in front of JA News and chose Edit from the toolbar.
3. On the right hand side under pages/items choose the pages where you want the module to appear. Click Save.
That’s it. Hope this helps.kenpodude Friendkenpodude

October 26, 2007 at 1:32 am #231516Go to the main menu and create a item for ‘Blog’.
Set it to list ‘All Sections’ .
For some reason it needs this menu item to be present.November 6, 2007 at 5:44 pm #232349Adding an all sections blog page to the main menu did stop JA News from showing up under content that was linked to from within JA Tabs, but I am still having a problem involving J Cal.
When I click on the link “view full calendar”, the full calendar shows up, but JA News shows up directly below the calendar. See http://www.cardington.org/web/index.php?option=com_jcalpro&Itemid=1
Any suggestions? This clearly is a bug, but with JA News not being regularly updated I am wondering if I need to chalk this up to a good try and go try the iJoomla News component.babyzsmile Friendbabyzsmile

December 7, 2007 at 4:22 pm #234112Geez. Given the lack of response to issues with JA News, I’d settle for just fixing JA News. I can live with the blog menu (which I don’t really want either). Do you really want your cake and to be able to eat it too?:)

December 12, 2007 at 2:36 pm #234422Hi,
I’m having the same problem with the ja-news block displaying under the content item. I, too, do not want a “blog” menu item. I’ve noticed that for my install, when I click on the Read More link, the ja-news block only repeats with the first item in the roll, which displays the full article text in the Frontpage format. The other articles in the roll display in a regular article page.
How can this be fixed, without resorting to the “blog” mainmenu item fix, referred to above?
Thanks,
Railer -
