For example, http://www.tiengvietjournal.com. On the front page, under each section such as hoa ky, vietnam etc.. Each has a main article which displays image. Is there a way I can assign another article from a different sub category of the section to display or it has to display articles on the designated category?</blockquote>
If you are using Joomla 1.5.x, if you go to the JA News module and open it
administrator => Extension => Module manager => click JA News
you will find to the right
Article order with the following choices:
- Order
- Create date
- Modify date
From my experiments, only the create date and modify date work. the latest additions (create date) will be at the top — irrespective of the category. if you select modify date, the latest modifications will be at the top — irrespective of the category.
If you select “Order”, let me know if you can make it work, I have problems with it:
Bug?? Is “Order” and option in JA News (for Joomla 1.5x)?

From my hands on trials, the proposed script changes by Hainn does not work.
