Hello… On my website I didnt want to use the “news” style and “custom html” style modules for my user1, user2, user3 and user4 module positions at bottom of frontpage.

I needed it to be articles that we can click on and read more about like the other news modules (JA news) below the JA NEWS FP.

So I added 4 new categories and 4 new articles linked to those categories and 4 new modules (JA News module version 1.3.1) linked to those articles and assigned their respective modules (user1, user2, user3 and user4).

The problem is they don’t position themselves next to each other. They add themselves at bottom of each verticaly. I don’t get why they don’t just go to their assigned module positions.

    Can anyone help me

sounds good but until I can fix the problem I cant put those modules up. I am testing localy. My boss wouldn’t want a freakish looking frontpage its an international company.

without the modules if you still want a look:

If nobody can answer me then I will clone the website to different adress and add the modules to show… in a couple of hours … thanks

hey this is like a live chat lol

put it up in a subfolder/domain and call it someting obsecure so no one will accidentally visit it

    Ok here it is:

    url: http://www.metamar.com.tr/test

compare it to http://www.metamar.com.tr and you will notice something weird…the search module seems to be somehow activated…in fact you can see one of my user modules inside of it a bit (user4)…the search module is deactivated….
how it shows up there is a mystery.

Scroll down the frontpage and see how my modules are placed…

this seems like a ja news problem to me… i initially thought it was probably something to do with the styling of the template. so sorry but im not that familiar with JA News yet so I think you gotta sought help from the likes of hainn84 or JA Developer.

    Well I found the problem… It wasnt user1 through 4 its actually user1, user2, user7 and user8.

having a module at user4 was somehow activating the search tools which is located there…
I am not totally sure what else I did to fix the alignement problem but i did switch all options of ja news off and that seemed to work for me

Let me manually mark this as BEST ANSWER! ha!
