    Great to hear there is an update of JA-News module.

    Got 2 problems:
    1. The headline always rolls even “Auto Rolls” set to “No” on Firefox 2.0. (I.E. okay)
    2. I can see the “Read more…” links in headline, thanks. But I still cannot see it in categories part.

    Does this template still have customer support from JoomlArt?

    There was a problem with the upgrade that affects the quickstart package. Go back to version 1.1.1 of the JA News module. If you don’t have it you can now find it in this thread: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/tabs-of-tabs-module-next-to-another/

    I am not using the quickstart package
    Anyway, I temporary turn off the headline.
    Hope there is a bug fix, instead of roll back to 1.1.1 which also buggy.

    Joomlart is aware of the problems. We just haven’t seen a resolution or new update yet.

    It seems there’re some problem/bugs with JA News module. However, I still cannot see any live site to figure out what happen.

    mikeho1980, could you post your live site here?

    I cannot see the Headline part in your site.

    There’s no read more on category, but you could click on the title or image.

    Is that what you think or it is only spoiling/joking?>:(
    Bugs are common, why be so sensitive? Only god is bug free but I believe no god.
    Obviously, v1.1.2 is less buggy than v1.1.1, a great job and my great thanks.

    Yes you are right. I had turn off the headline. (Send a pm to me if you want it on)
    Yes I can click on the title. But a Read more… link is better. Agree?
    There is Read more… link in headline part, but not in categories part. (the lower part, sorry for my English, hope you understand)

    Well we wont get into doctrinal studies, God, everything, i do that at college!

    But yes it was a suggestion, not a prank or taking the piss, sometimes the guys are not aware of all the problems that can occur in the field.

    If you find something its always a good idea to let JA know, their developers are scattered all over the place I gather, and often work via telecommunication rather than in one building where they all have a meeting and are advised and brought up to date on things collectively?

    Cheers ShannonN

    have you found a solution for the “Read more” link problem? I would like to display the read more for my news.

    Read More Problem solved!

    add the following line in mod_janews.php:

    echo "<a href="$link" class="readon">"._READ_MORE."</a>";

    added line displayed in red:

    if ($i == 0){
    //Show the latest news
    echo "<div class="ja-newscontent">n";
    echo $image. "n";
    echo "<a href="$link" class="ja-newstitle" title="".($showintro ? $row->title : $row->introtext1)."">{$row->title}</a>n";
    if ($showintro){
    if ($maxchars)
    { echo "{$row->introtext1}n";
    echo "<a href="$link" class="readon">"._READ_MORE."</a>";
    echo "<p> </p>";} else
    echo "{$row->introtext}n";
    }
