Hi All,

Apologies for adding this over here however I have no access to this module’s forum.

My question is

Is it possible to have the module to get the news from categories rather than sections? I actually have only one section and used categories to sort them out since joomla 1.6 is going to be that way.

I would like to have this module showing and getting the articles from categories rather than sections

your support is appreciated.

Dear Omar!

The ja new2 module allow to display the list of articles and list of categories from sections which you put section IDs in the “Section IDs” parameter of the module. And Each setion is a block contain articles and categories of section displaying in columns. this is design concept of the module .

As you known, the sections was removed in the joomla 1.6 and replaced by the category tree. So that the module would like to work on the joomla 1.6, the modules must to change about codes so many, more over the ja new2 modules integrated with the telineiii’s library to allow you setting the theme via sections ids,.This work is a heavy customization. I think that you must to wait for download the last version which support the feature as you expected.
