    For some reason I can’t figure out – my JA Newsflash is not scrolling. I have checked all of my settings against the tutorial. I even un-installed and re-installed. I do see an error through my firebug that says ” uncaught exception: Permission denied to call method XMLHttpRequest.open ”

    I am not sure what that means or how to fix it. Here is the link: http://www.trufit-solutions.com/joomla

    Anyone have any clue?

    Thanks.

    HI, I had the same problem until I chmod-ed the module’s files to 644 in its own folder and in the Joomla’s module folder. Hope it helps.

    I set chmod 777 to mod_janewsflash directory, but It’s show the first article end next write: Direct Access to this location is not allowed.
    What’s the problem?
    I use Joomla 1.5 RC4 and mod janewsflash for_RC4.
    Thank, zsenifan

    I solved this problem.
    /modules/mod_janewsflash/ja_newsflash/ja-newsflashloader.php
    13. row

    define ('_JA_NEWSFLASH_CACHE_ENABLE', 0);

    replace

    define ('_JA_NEWSFLASH_CACHE_ENABLE', 1);

    and it’s working.

    None of the above options worked for me…check out this thread: http://www.joomlart.com/forums/topic/newsflash-fix/

    1. Uninstall your ja newsflash module
    2. Install the modified ja newsflash module (from thread above)
    3. Publish and modify per the users guide, and it works!

    Not sure why this modified version is not being used in the Download section???
