Can you please fix the bug in JA newslight?
If you change the photo it will not show up – The program tries to show something – the text gets messed up and written on top where the image should be.
Even if you upload a new photo with the SAME name, file type, same location, everything the same except you modified it in Photoshop and upload it – it will mess up.
I would like to use this feature.
I need to get my web site done so I am not even posting a URL with an example. I need to finish the web site and have it ready for public viewing.
Do you need to see an example?
Someone said they fixed it – I tried that – it does NOT work for my site. I used the Quickstart 1.5 version of Barite.I don’t understand how you can get your own demo versions of these templates running so beautifully and then when someone tries to modify it – there are bugs and we can’t modify or change? That doesn’t make sense to me. Must be a reason.
Would appreciate it if someone truly fixed this.
Thanks,

If someone read this I think it has to do with this problem I need to look into GD2 see if it is installed on my server.
(JUST CHECKED AT ROCHEN.COM which is my host account – they DO have GD2 – so must be I need to make the changes to the file and give that a try)
You can find out more about what this is here – this is probably why the images are not showing up when I change them –
http://www.libgd.org/Main_Page
What is the GD library?
GD is an open source code library for the dynamic creation of images by programmers. GD creates PNG, JPEG and GIF images, among other formats. GD is commonly used to generate charts, graphics, thumbnails, and most anything else, on the fly. While not restricted to use on the web, the most common applications of GD involve web site development.
GD is written in C and various binding are available. See a non exaustive list here .
The library was originally developped by Thomas Boutell and is now maintained by Pierre-A. Joye under the umbrella of PHP.net.

THIS IS THE RED STICKY NOTE IN THE BARITE theme sectionWhen installing JA Brite quickstart or JA NewsLight module, you may get an error like Undefine function … or other errors at first run. It’s cause by PHP module called GD2 is not enable yet. You have 2 options to fix this issue:
1. Contact your host provider to enable GD2 module for you.
2. If you can access your php.ini file, you can enable it your self by searching for this line:
Code:extension=php_gd2.dll

1. Have you tried to clear cache after replacing the photo

2. You may want to limit the Max letter to less than 120 so that the text does not get messed. Also, set the width + height to -1 to leave the thumbnail as original image size.
