    Hi ghog,

    I guess this is only by caching, you can try to remove caches also try to disable cache for the module itself.
    Let me know if the problem still there.

    Just had the same issue, cleaned JAT3 cache and all site-wide cache but nothing helped.
    Then tried your tips to set caching to “Don’t cache” under Advanced Options for the module itself,
    and…. VOILA! Now it works.

    Can anyone explain though why cleaning JAT3 cache (and all other) plus having site in Develop mode
    still gave me those problems?

    Thanks that fixed similar issue! Non articles were displaying in Newsticker.
    After searching decades of threads found the solution.

    May be you can give a hint why odd symbols display in Newsticker?
    Similar symbols were noticed in article headings in other JA modules.

    P.S. web-site uses cyrillic language

    1. symbols

    The module caching is related to the cache at Global Config->Cache, it would work only if the Global Config -> cache is on, you can be more details about joomla cache here

    New problems….

    Organized my site exactly as wanted, all working excellent.
    Made backup with Akeeba and restored to root (public_html) of my server (orignal site in in subfolder testsites)
    Now im stuck with Newsticker not updating again (and same with JA News Featured)

    Set to Don’t cache, cleared cashes, emtied tmp folders… nothing helps 🙁

    Check the paths in configuration.php are correct. Akeeba sometimes doesn’t update these if you are moving from sub domain or directory to root – especially check the log and tmp paths. Maybe that helps?

    public $log_path = ‘/var/logs’;
    public $tmp_path = ‘/var/tmp’;

    As set to in all sites on my server, i keep tmp and logs outside webroot….
    Same as other site in other words 🙂

    Just now noticed, if i go to my Blog section (component/k2/item) the newsticker is updating and scrolling as supposed!?!
    But it seem to be ONLY on that page it’s working.. :p

    More info:
    Restored now to a new subdirectory and it works excellent!
    So there’s seem to be some problem when i restore to the ROOT folder of my webserver
    (where the site for my domain of course has to be)
    Checked paths & cache.. only seem to be JA_Newsticker and JA News Featured, everything else looks ok!
    Ideas? Anyone?
