I have JA Nex 2.5 and Kunena 1.7.2

I tried to install Kunena Theme for JA Nex (kunena_theme_nex_j17.v1.0.0.zip) and got an error message below.
File template.xml missing in template archive, cannot install this template

To install the Kunena Theme I went to
Components > Kunena Forum > Template Manager.
Then just proceeded to add the “kunena_theme_nex_j17.v1.0.0.zip” file.

Please suggest if I am doing it wrong.

Just out of curiosity . . . when you uploaded/installed your template, did you do so utilizing the quickstart+sample data installation? Or, did you install only the core template files and then try to install each extension/component separately?

I installed the template and the plugins and modules one by one.
I am a developer and don’t mind using ftp or making any necessary changes.

Please suggest.

Might I suggest wiping the slate clean and starting fresh – though this time following the steps outlined within THIS TUTORIAL ??
