When someone clicks and releases on the menu item Sewing Machines, it takes them off the home screen where the body is empty.

I know I could create an article with the submenus, but is there a way to do it dynamically, this way the user would not have to modify the article each time?

So that you would see below
    Computerized
    Emerald 183 These are wrappers
    Emerald 188 These are wrappers
    Emerald 189 These are wrappers

    Mechanical
    Emerald 111 These are wrappers
    Emerald 112 These are wrappers
    Etc…

If there is not a way how can I make it so it stays on the home page until a menu item is clicked.

    The site is http://www.westsidesewing.com

    Thank you,
    Raider

    Hello,

You can make this menu item to show a list of the selected categories so that way each time the user updates with a new article it will be there 🙂

I hope that addressees your issues!

    Raider:
I believe what you can do is – for that menu item (Sewing Machines) – set the page assignment to the same item as is your Home menu item. Logically/Theoretically, if someone were to then click on that menu item, it would keep them on the Home Page.

    Make Sense?

Let me know if that works for you.

    EDIT/UPDATE:
My friend pascm and I must have been unkowingly typing at the same time – I didn’t intend to step on his suggestion.

Try pascm’s recommendation first … and if that doesn’t work, try mine.
(but I bet’cha pascm got it right) 😎

Pascm The problem is that the menu items are wrappers. The only way I have gotten it to work is to setup a category for each article, which would not be bad but then the user would have an extra click.

    Any ideas?

I would like to get this work, but if I cannot I will use Tom’s suggestion

You guys are smoking out the answers today!
    Thank you both,

    Hey Tom,

Sorry, but where is the page assignment located… and how should the Menu Item Type be set?

    Thanks,
    Raider

Within your Menu Manager >> Main Nav (or Main Menu, whatever it’s called) >> select “Sewing Machines”

Next to the very first field (within the menu item parameter page), there is a button you click to select the page type. Usually, the “Home/Default” menu type is “Category Blog” – though it can be different sometimes. Best to check what YOUR ‘Home/Default” menu page type is, and then select the same one for your “Sewing Machines” menu item type.

    Make Sense?

Sorry but the keen sense for the obvious is not kicking in… can you draw me a picture?

When you say Page Type are you referring to Menu Item Type?
