    Hi,

We got many users report my Ja nex template website is loading very slowly (over 1 minute to load up the homepage) in Internet Explorer version 8,9 and 10. Sometimes it even crash their browsers and they have to restart.

When I switch to a different Joomla default template then it seem to be ok and when I disable almost all the modules the loading speed is about 4 seconds – still slower than other browsers such as FireFox and Google Chrome (under 2 seconds).

Does anybody else had the same experiences with slowness in IE? Or maybe most people don’t use IE so please try it out and let me know. I’m trying to figure out what else I can do besides switch the template and disable all the modules to speed up the loading speed overall.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Hi Pascm,

    The site url is “http://district279.org/”
Please note, the slowness only happens when you are using IE browser, not other browsers or at least I’m not aware of any other browser with this kind of problem.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

A page that size -> The page has a total of 78 components and a total weight of 11243.0K bytes will have problems loading that’s my opinion.
But you know there’s always place for improvement, what type of cache your system makes use of ? -> http://prntscr.com/2th4gk

    Regards

P.S. With IE 11 works ok for me
