    Hello Forum,

I have two issues with JA One Page… thanks in advance for any assistance. I want to use the One Page template with
a combination of the One Page layout with the modules on the home page. And I want some menu items to display with
a more traditional menu display. For example: I want to use a forum for a menu link and perhaps K2 for another one.

Question One: I enabled the default Joomla pages, Registration, contact, weblinks etc as a test. These pages are NOT
taking the default template style as mentioned in the tutorial.

    A. How or where/ do I place code so that the templates css style is applied to the Joomla pages mentioned in the tutorial.

Question Two: Is there a simple way to copy paste or place the templates default styles or default css code into other components like Kunena and K2.

    Regards,

    Hi romello1,

** Lets see our JA OnePage guide before we go to your questions in details.

    – “Question One: I enabled the default Joomla pages, Registration, contact, weblinks etc as a test. These pages are NOT
taking the default template style as mentioned in the tutorial.”

    >> You need to set Template Style is “-Use default-” in these menu item pages.

    – “How or where/ do I place code so that the templates css style is applied to the Joomla pages mentioned in the tutorial.”

    >> You don’t need to place any css code to the Joomla Pages because they are supported by default. You just need to configure as user guide.

    – “Question Two: Is there a simple way to copy paste or place the templates default styles or default css code into other components like Kunena and K2”

    >> No. They are 3rd party extensions, so they will use their own styles only. But, You can feel free to install both of them, because our JA OnePage template does support.

    Hello Leo,

I had given up on using OnePage but I’ve decided to try again. Thank you in advance if you can help me with this issue.

How can I set the One Page Metro style design to a normal joomla article? I just want to create menu links to a couple of
single joomla articles …And those pages will have the One Page Metro style.

    Thanks,

    Romello

    Hi romello1,

No. We don’t support the overridden layout for Joomla content on JA Onepage. You can’t assign Onepage Metro template style to the Joomla article. In order to create the menu item links to Joomla content, you need to assign JA Onepage – Defaul or – Use default template style to these menu items.

    Leo

    Hello Leo,

Thank you for your screen shot and instructions for the menu item. That’s working fine now.

Can you please point me in the right direction for how to style the joomla menu item / article in the metro style. I really
just need the header style… and plain white default background. Which files need to be edited?

This would be a very versatile and useful template if perhaps only one Joomla page or Bonus page were styled…

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi romello1,

    Well, try these steps :

    1. Set JA Onepage- Metro template style for your menu item.
    2. Go to Template Manager >> JA Onepage – Metro style >> Layout tabs >> Default layout. Save.
This layout contains block Component which displays the content (Joomla/K2).

    Regards,

    Leo

    Hi Leo,

Thanks! That almost solves the problem. This solution gave me the metro page styling that I wanted. But for some
reason it removed the default one page styling. Even though I changed only one menu item…So all of the
modules on the home page are gone.

    So the challenge is

    1. How to keep this metro page styling with selected menu items only.
    2. How to keep the default one page menu/module linking system for other menu items.

Thanks, we’re getting close! I’ll re-create the details for the benefit of others trying to do the same thing.

    Hi Leo,

I think I have a work around to achieve the result that I’m trying to get.

    1. I’m using the default layout position as you suggested and this is giving me the style that I want.

    2. I’ve successfully re-positioned the here-unit module there.

    3. Question/

    A. How can I place the hero-unit and team/ja content pop-up module in new position (position1 or position0… and keep the same full page width and height as they have in their default onepage module positions?.

    B. At the moment, if I place the hero-unit in position 1… It will display okay … but much smaller and the display will not fill the page the same as when it is in the One page module position.

    C. I just need to place the hero unit, introducing and other onepage modules on different pages as normal modules. I don’t need the
    onepage/ menu section sliding effect.

    Thank you in advance.

    regards;

    R

p.s. Checking more… it seems like this is an layout issue. If there was a module position …perhaps “position 0” with the same
header type location and dimensions as the default here-unit… Perhaps that would solve the issue?

    Hi,

    My answer:

    >> You can assign the hero-unit and team/ja content pop-up module into new position, but You need to style your own css to keep the same full page width/height. It will take alot of time to customize your website’s layout to fit other module position.

    C. I just need to place the hero unit, introducing and other onepage modules on different pages as normal modules. I don’t need the
    onepage/ menu section sliding effect.
    >> You can create other clone Hero unit, Introducting modules, then assign them to different menu item. For each clone module, you can configure Slider effect in Backend.

    * Your p/s: I need to remind you that our default layout concept of JA Onepage template looks awesome with the fitted styles between the module positions. The modules will have the same header type & dementions if they are assigned in the same module position (i.e onepage).

    Hi Leo,

Yes but the modules will not display the same in the header position/onepage style if the template is not set to onepage layout.

Here’s another possibility: I see that it’s only possible to have 1 layout per theme.
But it is possible to have different themes for different menu items.

How can I clone different version of metro theme / with different layout and assign that to multiple menu items?

What I want to achieve is using the default one page layout on home page.
Create a new theme with default content left layout for the rest of the site.
Is this possible? How can I achieve this?

    Hi romello,

It seems that there are many things you want to know about JA Onepage styling. Well, here are my detailed answer:

The modules will not display the same in the header position/onepage style if the template is not set to onepage layout.

Yes. But, in this case the modules should be assigned in the same menu page (i.e Homepage). One layout for one menu page only !

It is possible to have different themes for different menu items.

    >> Yes. You can create new template style (theme) by using your styles or cloning our available styles.

How can I clone different version of metro theme / with different layout and assign that to multiple menu items?

It is really simple. You need to go admin >> Template Manager >> ja_onepage – Metro >> Click on Save as Copy. Now, you have a clone Metro style, then choose the layout for new clone style. And assign new styles to different menu items. Did you get the idea ?

What I want to achieve is using the default one page layout on home page.
Create a new theme with default content left layout for the rest of the site.
Is this possible? How can I achieve this?

Yes. As I mentioned above, after creating a new template style (theme), you can choose a layout for it (i.e Default content left layout.)

    * Hope this helps.

    Leo
