January 27, 2016 at 7:55 am #869478Maybe there is something wrong with the host you’re using. Please try to create support ticket & ask your host about:
- Is this is correct path: /usr/sbin/sendmail ?
- Does the host support sendmail function or not? (as I know not every host supports this)
January 27, 2016 at 2:15 pm #869729The subdirectory http://www.frauenhaus-pobiedna.de/onepage is the testsite for the main site http://www.frauenhaus-pobiedna.de.
The main site runs with sendmail and the path there is /usr/sbin/sendmail as well. I tested the email-function at the main site and it works but not at /onepage.
I spoke with the host support (strato) and he gave me the hint, that the value of the email field in the formular can be the problem.Saguaros ModeratorSaguaros

January 29, 2016 at 4:15 am #871119I tried to change the mailer on your site via Backend > Global Configuration > Server > Mail settings: http://prntscr.com/9w8h3d
but none of them work, the server doesn’t support those functions, you can give it a try to test

February 1, 2016 at 2:17 pm #873504Could you please contact them again and ask for one of these mail functions? as at this moment, seems that they are not supported so you can initiate the send mail feature on your site.

February 10, 2016 at 2:45 am #880344Please try to change to the correct mail path: /usr/local/sbin/sendmail (as you mentioned above). I tried to change via Global Configuration on your site but seems that the ‘configuration.php’ file is not writable so it doesn’t affect. Pls contact your host for help to change this.

February 22, 2016 at 9:50 am #888282Could you try going to Global Configuration in backend > Server tab and and set to PHP Mail? http://prntscr.com/a6fd7h
Then try with contact form, you will see this error message: Could not instantiate mail function
and tell your host to check this.
