February 26, 2009 at 5:17 pm #293584This template is only made “great” through it’s content.
The actual design of the template does not effect it much (unlike JA Cooper where a combination of Extensions and Template make it work very well wit it’s content). It has too many similar features from previous templates, but this can be a good thing or just plain unoriginal.

February 26, 2009 at 7:29 pm #293603I quite like it. What would be nice is if the position where the search module is you could select what is there from for example, a 4 image catslwi, search module, a scrolling latest news module or the type of module you had with the car makes in the cooper template.
I know we could customise it but it would be nice out of the box.
I would also like to see some light varients.
One thing that always makes joomla templates seem very similar is the overall layout with the ubiquitous latest news, popular stuff at the bottom. Maybe time to think of something different there too.
For future templates it would be nice to think out of the normal joomla box. Take a look at the Nvidia site for example. The front page is very different to the norm but the rest of the pages stick to an easy look. The BBC website is another example with its collapsible and movable modules. Something different that is not the norm for a Joomla site. (and yes, I know the above are not joomla, just looking at ideas there)

February 26, 2009 at 7:35 pm #293605Or maybe a JomSocial theme, rather than CB.
February 26, 2009 at 8:10 pm #293607This looks like the twin brother of the rockettheme template Mixxmag, released over a month ago. I expect originality from a club, not just making another version of a template.
I am hugely dissapointed in this one.wooohanetworks Friendwooohanetworks

Maybe a far far relative….but somehow all templates look alike, I think this is already like a seasonal issue to read so many comments about relations to RT templates here…Do you think this template was even started, the process of work after January 2009 and the release of the RT one you mention. I would say, this design and idea was even in progress before that point of time already. As it is not a quick thing to make templates, but I may be wrong.

To me it really does, and they do not all look the same to me, but this one really jumps out.
I like joomlart because they have very original templates most of the time.
But this time……..scotty Friendscotty

Not to me it doesn’t. Far more in common with Zinc than Mixxmag. I don’t like Mixxmag at all actually. Far too many blocks, boxes, and lines. Really ugly template.

February 26, 2009 at 10:24 pm #293628How does anyone think this looks like Mixxmag? It is nothing like it at all.
I also think people are being overly harsh. It is really hard to judge a template from a single pubished only as a jpeg

February 26, 2009 at 10:28 pm #293630Like I said, when you are finished with the procedure I mentioned for Mixxmag, then they will love Mixxmag a lot…
No, honestly, I wonder why some people say it looks like Mixxmag, it simply does not. Where here are people who have some easy going talk among members, harsh words follow head ups, and so on, this is really something uncommon harshly, as you mention, as what to complain about in this template. It looks very good. But same thing, as when members talk to each other, today they say “This template is looking like RT, looks shicy…”, yesterday they said the same in some other club, and tommorow when the next template comes out it is “Joomlart Templates are the best, big Kudos to JA, RT just sucks…”;)

February 26, 2009 at 10:32 pm #293631Are you a native English speaker Wooohanetworks? Sometimes I really struggle to follow your sentences. Maybe it is just me.

Must be the receptionists’ grade of education I guess, not a lot of native english speaking people are really good, have no brain under the hood…but sound more like a mess. With their native language, oh no, did they try to read again when sober, ho ho, same with any other languages’ specialists, especially when the transmitter keeps an easy style of talk, so any folk can understand, so please do not litter. Sorry, what else shall I say to such comment from you, sorry again…I see there no clue.;) When I take more time to bloom with dictionary words like a lot undereducated do, than I may be understood clearer to those, maybe. Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, I do not know what you talk about though…

Very funny how people react, I said it is not original at all in MY OPINION. But well, guess it is hard to interpret and read:p It is not, It looks like it, but you do not have to agree with me on it. Did I ask you for that? No I didn’t, I was simply stating my opinion, and that is still that it looks to much like it.
It simply is to ME, to see that you don’t agree with that is perfectly fine, but it makes it more funny the way you react, seems like you are not only a member but also a stockholder. The other joomlart templates are good, I really really like a lot of them. But this is and stays for ME a dissapointment, something I have seen before, and I am dissapointed.
You can see a high resolution picture, check the different mixxmag styles, and if you still think it is not VERY similar. Then well, we have to agree that we disagree:DShannonN FriendShannonN

Guys don’t feed the troll! or his sad need to hear himself talk, usually about himself, we have seen most of his posts are OT and try to be philosophical in nature, this person is lonely isolated and an approval addict, he needs the forum as a substitute for friends etc etc IMHO
refuse to communicate with him or get baited it’s not worth the time
