    Hello,

I have created the following site based on Ja Ores.

It may not be the best site in the world, but I am pleased with the progress thus far.

    The Green Business

I have used the light-green theme and modified css code to centre the website, give it a white border and apply a light-grey background.

There is still ongoing work to the website – specifically with regards to content presentation. In particular, the home page is not the most compelling place to be at the momen and so will be updated.

I wanted to contribute this site in part to showcase a simple modification to the ja-ores template, and in part because I would liek to see more sites showcased in this area and I would be a hypocrit if I did not showcase something of my own.

I would welcome any feedback that you might have on the site.

    Cheers, 🙂

I like it. It is fresh and professional.

Maybe You should remove those messages when articles was made and updated. It makes site cleaner.

    Cheers melron.

I’m fairly sure there is nothing immoral with my reasoning here (although I did hesitate to say what I am about to say) – but I was hoping to use the author information to fit a couple of extra keywords onto the website. 🙂 But I agree, it would look better as a cleaner site.

It is the same reason for using a text logo rather than an image logo – trying to be more accessible with a couple of extra keywords.

I need to use graphics better on the website, to better describe what it is that the company does. I plan to add some of these in at some point.

Ultimately I have removed a lot of extra components because either they do not work with javascript enabled or they do not validate or whatever. For the same reason there is concern about using the site with e-commerce and storing client information in the database, because of privacy concerns, but if these are addressed, there will be a lot more functionality built into the website for clients.

Just some thoughts in no particular order. 🙂

    Thanks for your comment

Beautiful clean site that does exactly what you need and no more (and I mean that nicely)
Personally I would not have had both main menu’s set up on the top and side I would have chose one or the other! But hey I’m just being picky!

    Hi smitheringale,

I like your site a lot. I looks very professional, I agree with mfcphil though about the menu. I think I would only keep the one on top and it is easier to navigate from, in my oppinion. BUt then you might have to fill in the spot it leaves with another module.

    Good luck!
