Hi, Am Rics. I downloaded Ja Portfolio template for Joomla 1.7. The entire thing got downloaded in Joomal_1.7.zip file which included the following: Component, Module, Plugin, Source, Template, quickstart etc. under which there are more zip files.
Since Iam new to Joomla. I wanna know,
    1. do i have to install all the zip files using extension manager?
    2. I tried doing that but the zip file under quick start and module are not getting installed.
    3. Major problem – when i used ja portfolio as default template, It showed me an entirely different view:
There was no search button on the top.
There was only a menu bar and below it, there was the featured article.

How do i figure out, from where all the images come in demo?
    4. What is the directory structure should i make?
    5. It is not asking me to use Sample Data toooooo
I have been reading all forums. I hv sort of given up now.
    Can somebody help?:
    :((

    Hi kitworld

When you are trying to install a joomlart template on your hosted space you have two options available

    1) You can install only the template on a preinstalled joomla site in this case you need to install the file template.zip from your extension manager after done that you need to customize the template adding modules and component as showed in this guide

    2) You can install an exact copy of the joomlart template showed in the demo server using the quickstart version that you have previously extracted and uploaded on your web space you can find a guide on the quickstart installation here
