Update: problems disappears if something is published in module position: User 5

Hi
I have published the footer module in the footer position.
Looks fine in Firefox.
But on some pages, the footer and validation icons jumps into the general content pane when viewing in Internet Explorer.
Clean installation of Joomla 1.5 stable.
December version of JA Purity.

If anyone has any ideas of how to fix this problem.

I noticed this problem on pages with email addresses. After I turned off the email cloaking script, the problem didn’t return. Although not a solution–I would have liked to modify the email cloaking script–I settled. I’d love to see a solution.
