Over the default Joomla’s2Go!, Joomla! configuration… How to fix JA_Purity template to show the Top Menu correctly that is missed by default?:
Edit the Top Menu module inside Extensions/Module Manager, as follows:
– Fix Module position to ‘hornav‘
– Fix Module Style inside Module Parameters to: ‘List‘
– Fix Module Class Suffix and Menu Class Suffix from ‘-nav‘ to: ‘ ‘ (Nothing)I am inviting you to visit our project: Joomla’s2Go! Joomla! builds at http://www.joomlas2go.net

You can view the issue at the demo site (which must be using V1.2 of the template):
http://demo.joomlart.com/contest_opt/
The topmenu drop down menu elements are coloured black unlike in V1.1.3 where the drop down elements were the colour selected for default header colour as you can see here:
http://www.4success.co.nz/Why the change in how the template implements the menu and the move away from suckerfish/jamoo choice between versions 1.1.3 and 1.2 of the template?
Maybe if we understand why the change we might not be trying to “fix” something that is not actually broken?
The change in the template does cause a site to break if you have implemented joomla 1.5.3 with ja_purity 1.1.3 and then update joomla to 1.5.4
Cheers

July 18, 2008 at 3:01 am #260601Hello hkeyzer,
We haven’t removed the menu style choice nor header color option in template parameters between v 1.1.3 and v 1.2. You still have options to change them which are advanced params of JA Purity. When update to Joomla! 1.5.4, I recommended you remove your old JA Purity template and using the default JA Purity came with Joomla! 1.5.4 since it has alot of bugs fixed and issue resolved.

July 18, 2008 at 5:25 am #260622Someone says that there IS a problem with the header/menu style and that there IS a fix and that it WILL be included in the next release of the template. Dunno why JoomlaArt doesn’t know about it.

I do however still have black backgrounds in the topmenu, which I can manually fix on a site by site basis.
Thanks
