JA Purity II

I am using the template „JA purity II“. Prior to that I worked with JA Purity but faced difficulties when using IE 8. I now changed the width of the template to 930 pixels and would like to centre it so the background is visible on both edges. *Several tries to apply this with the CSS files (of which much more than in the old template seem to exist) of JA Purity II were unsuccessful.

I am trying a move from JA-Prurity to JAP II 1.2. Looks great!
Very basic custimization for the time being.
I am facing a pb in Home page ONLY : left & right col appear under main.

Nothing appeard in the forums.
Could some one please help?
