September 27, 2008 at 8:32 am #133796Hi,
I did a JA Pyrite Joomla 1.5 quickstart installation and I cannot get sub menus to display. (I have tried all of the menu types – moo, suckerfish, split & dropline).
See http://www.clusierra.com.au/dev
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.John Wesley Brett ModeratorJohn Wesley Brett

September 27, 2008 at 3:15 pm #272695Morning Tanne,
Unable to see your site with the URL given. Could you provide a better link?
If these are NEW submenus YOU created, then it is possible you have not ENABLED them. When you create a new menu item generally they are not enabled by default…so they just don’t pop up on your site until you have completed telling the menu item what you want it to do.
So check in your ADMINISTRATOR > MENUS > menu you are concerned about….and then check to see if there are GREEN CHECK MARKS by all the submenu items you want to show.
Good luck,
John.1 user says Thank You to John Wesley Brett for this useful post

September 27, 2008 at 5:19 pm #272716Two other areas where the problem could be:
I believe you’ve probably already done this (as far as selecting the menu type) but if not, go to your Joomla panel — Extension Tab —> Template Manager —> Click the template you are using and hit Edit —> Make sure you have selected the correct menu options under the menu module drop down.
2. Make sure in your menu area that you have selected a parent item for your subcategories. View this screen shot.
