OK – found it

There is an override folder for the standard module in the JA Mers template folder (under the HTML folder)

Go into the mod_jaquickcontact folder and update the ajax and default layout php files

path is… http://ftp.toyoursite.com/…/templates/ja_mers/html/mod_jaquickcontact
