    Thanks for the excellent template.

I have installed JA Rave QuickStart. The front-end works fine, however, the back-end (administrator screen) has a serious problem.

    Problems:

    1. The control panel is displayed as unformatted text (as attached). There are no icons at all, but once I click some link included in the text. It brings me to the normal Joomla back-end screen, where I can move to another menu.

    2. The Article Manager is working well, but once I click the linked title, the Article screen doesn’t show up (as attached).

I have checked all the settings of configuration.php and .htaccess, but it seemed fine.
Changing to the default template did not solve the problem.
I am testing now on a sub-domain, but switching to some main domain (http://www.xxx.com) also didn’t work.

    Your suggestion is appreciated.

How did you install the quickstart on the live host?

Did you update file by file to the host and then installed it?

i think that your package is missing files. now you get a quickstart from the download, then you upload the zip file – and then unzip that file and start installing.

I have tried both: unzip and then FTP upload; and upload ZIP and extract remotely.
The Control Panel problem was solved. But the Article Edit problem couldn’t be solved.

There is another problem coming up. I can add a new user, but it does not appear on the User Manager.

So now I have still had two problems: 1) Article cannot be added, and 2) Cannot manage users.

I uploaded from two different PCs. The Joomla Rave’s ZIP files were downloaded separately on each PC. I have only one server, so I cannot test it with a different server. The other template JA Social, which we are testing at the same time, is working fine with the same server.

I suspect that some Joomla files included in the quickstart may be corrupt or missing.
    Your suggestions are appreciated.

I have installed QuickStart 1.0.1 for JA Rave. This version solved the Article Edit problem. But when I added a new user, “A new user is successfully added.” message appears but, it was not listed in the User Menu. I cannot also log on with the new user account.

    Any suggestions?

Please fix this problem. Do I need to submit some sort of formal support ticket?

I posted this to the “JA Rave V 1.0.1 released – Bug Fix release…” thread, too.
The development team said that they would fix this on Monday.
    They have days-off on weekened.

I am building a website with this QuickStart JA Rave, but I have not seen any other problem so far.

Yes, please be patient. The devs need a break like the rest of us. No need to submit a ticket as Tienhc has alread bought the problem to the developers attention.

Ok, It looks as though you all provided an update but we are still having the same issue with the quickstart install. After we install it, then try to add a new user, the user doesn’t work. It appears under the K2, but even appearing under the K2 it still doesn’t allow the user to log in. When I piece meal the site together it works fine. I have pretty much narrowed the issue down to the mysql file, joomla.sql which is something that the JA team has hacked with the sample data. So if the developers want to look, they should start there.

    Dear all

Our developers have fixed the issue and testers are now testing the issue. You may get the latest package by tomorrow.

    Thanks
